Unforgettable Florida Tree Houses

A tree house is a house built among the branches of a tree often for children to play in. There are a few places inFlorida that have taken this idea and created a place among the trees for relaxation and fun. There is something about being up in the trees that makes it a bit magical some might say unforgettable even. Here are a few of Florida’s unforgettable tree houses.

Spirit of the Suwanee Music Park is home to a new tree house by the DIY Networks Tree house Guys. The tree house is built at twenty seven feet high and is two stories with lots of neat living space. With beautiful views of the Suwannee River you’ll never want to leave!
The Sunrise Yurt is located on the Santa Fe River in High Springs. The yurt is twenty four feet high in the midst of huge trees. Staying at the yurt gives you that outdoor experience of primitive camping with a roof over your head.

Green Cove Springs camp Chowenwaw is a 150 acre site that Clay County purchased from the Girl Scouts. The park is located at the mouth of Black Creek. Camp Chowenwaw has 9 treehouse cabins that each hold 4 people. The sites are ascessed by walking trails. There is great fishing and bird washing done along Black Creek as well as an abundance of other wild life.

Norwood’s Restaurant and Wine Shop in New Smyrna Beach offers dishes with fresh seafood , chicken or beef and great wines. The reason we’re talking about them today is the new Treehouse Bar. The Tree house Bar has you sitting right in the middle of a tree where you can enjoy a drink or two from the bar and even a meal. The tree house is Awesome unless it is raining!

Walt Disney World Resort’s Saratoga Springs Tree house Villas have everything a Disney Resort offers. They sleep 9 adults so if you are planning a multi family vacation this might work well. The villas are about ten feet off the ground and are equipped with bedrooms, full kitchens , flatscreens and more. Each treehouse has a deck and they also have grills for your BBQ delight. Enjoy views of the woods and river from your personal deck. Guests are just a boat ride away from the Satatoga Springs Spa and Resort and all of its amenities. Hop on the Disney water taxie and you’ll be at Downtown Disney in just a few minutes. These are not what I would call budget friendly at around $700 and up per night depending on the season.
