Milkshakes and Waffles need I say more? #Cousteaus

Exploring the oldest city and discovering new places to eat is one of my favorite past times.  If you are out and about St. Augustine this summer and want to grab some breakfast I recommend you head on over to Hypolita Street and stop in Cousteau's Waffle and Milkshake Bar.  Waffles and Milkshakes need I say more?

Cousteua's Milkshake and Waffle Bar photo cousteausA.jpg The Belgian Waffles are the perfect amount of sweet and chewy. They are perfectly crisp and you can top them with so many different treats.  My personal favorite is the Kingsley which is a Belgian waffle topped with peanut butter and banana , powdered sugar and hot maple syrup. OH MY GOODNESS it is heaven the form of a waffle.  If you like fresh strawberries, and whip cream they have that delight also or change it up and have berries with nutella. There are so many toppings and combinations to choose from (marshmallow fluff, candied bacon, fresh fruit, candied pecans) it is hard to decide.

Then there is the milkshake.  Thick cool goodness made with fresh homemade Florida ice cream.  There are all sorts of good things to add in and then it is topped off with fresh whip cream.  A local favorite is the Calypso which is a key lime pie in a shake .  Or we recommend the Orange Cream Milkshake it is made with fresh  Florida Orange juice.
