I am a huge Quinn Loftis fan. A friend of mine introduced me to the Grey Wolf Series and I was hooked instantly. You can find my reviews for the first 7 books of the series under our Book Reviews tab or on Good Reads. One thing I just have not had time to do lately is pick up a book and read. Life is just plain busy and somehow there are times when you stop doing something you love it is hard to pick back up. The last thing I read was a book one of my sons Doctors recommended rather than a fun book. That has been a lot of the reading I have done lately. Reading to learn more about health issues versus reading for pleasure. It does make a difference friends.
I was on facebook when I saw a post that Quinn had a new book and it was on Amazon Early . Here is a little bit of the conversation I had with myself.
Self: "Oh my goodness there is a new book in the Grey Wolf Series. " Squeal "I have to read that"
Other Self: "Girl when is the last time you had to read anything good. Just add it to your to read list and lets move on. "
Self... "It is summer I should have time to read a great book. I mean really how long does it take. So I stay up to late reading .It is summer."
Anyways you guys get the picture. I ended up heading to Amazon where I purchased
Luna of Mine, Book 8 The Grey Wolves Series . And you guessed it I stayed up way to late for any sane person because I wanted to finish the book versus saving it to read another summer day. Guilty! But its okay because we're on vacation and this girl can take a nap if she has to. Note to self I love to READ.
What did I like: I loved that Luna of Mine gave us more on the originals . The alpha couple who have been a huge part of the story of the pack but somewhat in the background for some of the other books. Vasile and Alina are stronger than ever but I loved seeing the struggles they faced as a young couple . I liked that this story begins when Alina takes the other women of the pack for a girls night out to share her story. I liked that it was not smooth sailing from the beginning and that you got a deeper understanding of the bond between true mates.
What I did not like: there was not a lot that I did not like about this book. I mean Quinn Loftis just has a way with words that grab my attention and keep me reading. The one thing that I did wish was that this book was a little bit longer. I hated to put it down even if it was like 2 in the morning.
More about the book here is the book description:
We've watched the Romanian Grey Wolves find their true mates, fight against evil and reunite with the other Canis lupis in the world. Now we will see just how the most powerful Alpha in their history met his match with the woman who became his mate, and helped him become the man he needed to be in order to lead.
Every life leaves behind a legacy. Every story has a beginning and an end. The Alpha of the Romania Grey Wolves knows this better than most. He also knows it’s the things that transpire to create that legacy and the experiences, triumphs and failures that happen in the middle of the story that matter. His story began a century ago and now a tragedy has led him to his rightful place as Alpha of the Eastern Romania pack. Before he led hundreds, he had to learn to lead a few. Before he sacrificed for all, he had to be willing to sacrifice for any. Before he could be the man destined to save his race he had to be willing to serve them. In order to be raised up he had to first be torn down. There was only one who could do this and live, only one who could light his way when the darkness closed in; his mate, his Luna. This is the building of their legacy, the middle of their story. Their triumphs, their failures, and their tragedy’s that would one day make them strong enough to restore a race torn apart by greed, envy, and fear.
