Festival of Lights Stephen Foster Culture Center State Park #Florida #TuesdaysTravels

If you are our and about in Florida and looking for some fabulous Christmas lights and fun then we're sharing a place for you today.  The festival of lights at the Stephen Foster State Park is a holiday celebration with over 5 million lights.  You won't be sorry you made the drive or the effort.  We had a fabulous time here and will definitely be making a visit a new family tradition.

**The park will be open until 9PM each evening except for
Christmas day (December 25th). **

**The Festival of the Lights opened on December 6th 2013 and the last night of lights will be on January 3, 2014.  ** so if you would still like to pay them a visit there is time.

What was there to do or enjoy?  Well a highlight for my little was the amazing model train. And it is seriously AWESOME huge and fast moving.  I think I ran around this train a hundred times at least because Mr.C wanted to keep up with the train. Check out our Instagram video for a better look!

Named a top 20 event in the South Eastern United States we definitely figured out why.  There were lights everywhere. One of my personal favorites is the bell tower and the chiming bells. They are beautiful!  If you love the fiddle , banjo, and other instruments you'll enjoy the scattered musicians through out the park who are playing old tunes like Way down on the Suwanee River.

The kids had a great time viewing the lights, playing in fake snow, seeing Santa and enjoying the treats.  There was hot cocoa , and popcorn free of charge.  You could also roast marshmallows for $1 or make smores for $5.  We loved our adventure at the Stephen Foster Culture Center and recommend this event to anyone close enough to make the drive.

Admission into the park is $3 per person.
Address : 11016 Lillian Saunder Drive White Springs Florida 32096

You might also like to visit the drive through lights at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak Florida.  We visited there after our trip to Stephen Foster.  Live Oak is about 12 miles from White Springs so not to far away.
