Blowing Rocks Preserve Florida #TuesdayTravels

Blowing Rocks is a peaceful preserve located on the barrier islands of Florida.  A number of endangered plants and animals call Blowing Rocks their home.  How cool is that.  We say it is very cool.  You will find Blowing Rocks Preserve at 574 South Beach Road, Hobe Sound Florida.  It is located on Jupiter Island about 25 miles West of Palm Beach.  Blowing Rocks made our summer bucket list.  Here is a little of our adventure.

The boys didn't catch any fish though. That is what they are about.  Maybe next trip.  There are quite a few shells. If you are lucky you might even find a sharks tooth.  The rocks and coral along the beach create many geysers.  Hence the name "Blowing Rocks".
The best time to go is at high tide to catch the amazing sprays from them.   However, if you want to explore the many caves and tidal  pools along your hike low tide is the best. Blowing Rocks contains the largest outcropping of Anastasia Limestone along the states East coast.
