How to Make An Apple Turkey with Kids! #DIY #Kids #holidaycrafts

I'm sure over the holidays your family has gotten a little bit crafty , a little bit toasty and hopefully  a whole lot able.  This project is great easy enough for toddlers and perfect for preschoolers.  We had a blast and I love the end results.  We make a different turkey each year just for fun.

What You Need:

  • apples
  • fruit loops
  • toothpicks
  • mini marshmallows
  • Large marshmallows
  • candy corn

What to do:

  1. Push toothpicks into  your apples where you want the feathers to be.
  2. Stack fruit loops on top of the toothpicks
  3. then top off your picks with a miniature marshmallow.
  4. Place a toothpick where you want the head to be and top it with a large marshmallow.
  5. Add a dab of icing onto the nose then stick a piece of candy corn on.  (the nose is on the large marshmallow)
  6. Put candy corns on the feet.
  7. (opitional) draw on faces with a marker
Beware cats who love fruit loops will destroy these. My cat was bonkers over them.   I think they turned out pretty cute and the little boys who are having fun recreating them I think this = more fun than we can handle. What do you think?
