Grannies Blueberry Yum Yum! #Recipe

Blueberry Yum Yum!

This is my Grandmas recipe and oh boy do I love this stuff.  It is so yum yum.  Today was the first day of Fall. We always have this as one of the sweets on our table during the holidays.  Isn't it funny how certain foods just remind you of a holiday or person.  My Granny always makes this special for me so of course I love it .  Who doesn't love when their Granny makes them something special.

3 T water
1/2 c. softened butter
1/4 c. cornstarch
1 &  1/2 c. flour

Combine blueberries, 1 cup sugar, and 1/4 cup water in a sauce pan.  Cook over low heat until blueberries are soft about 5 minutes.  Combine cornstarch and 3 Tablespoons of water in a cup.  Stir well.  add cornstarch mixture to blueberries.  Stir until thick.  Set aside to cool.  Combine flour, butter, and pecans mix well.  Press into a 13X9 dish.  Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.  Let the crust cool.  Combine cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar.  Beat until smooth and fold in Cool Whip.  Spread over the cooled crust.  Top with blueberries.  Refrigerate.

Enjoy and try not to eat to much... because it is so very good.  Do you have a favorite family recipe?
