After out trip to the El Galeon last week we found a great new park and wanted to share it with you.
Trout Creek Park

Orangedale, Florida 32092
We spent a lovely afternoon exploring Trout Creek Park. There is a very nice covered picnic area beside the play area. A water fountain is also here also with the bottom portion for both people and dogs. The playground is completely fenced with is a MUST in this Mama's book. The bench on the playground for setting has a nice shade cover. The playground itself however has NO shade . So wear your sunscreen!! The playground is surrounded by a lovely wooded area and one of the things we noticed is the trees have signs under them telling you what they are (which is pretty neat).
Trout Creek Park is a 16.5 acre passive park open free of charge to all visitors. The site features a double boat ramp with handy access to Trout Creek and the St. Johns River.
There is also a 1/2 mile nature trail, a boardwalk along the canal, and a community center. The community center has a kitchen and screened porch area and is available to rent. The bathrooms are located near the community center NOT the playground area. So, if you have a small child or one being potty trained you definitely want to make the trip to the rest rooms before playground time.
Here is a brief video of the playground for you to check it out!
