Adventure Landing Shipwreck Island Water Park
We recently spent an entire day at Shipwreck Island and it was perfect for the entire family. As many of you already know I have both older and younger children. Many times we will visit somewhere and there will be something to please either the older or younger but not both . That is definitely not the case at Shipwreck Island. We had children ages 16, 15, 9 and 4 with us today and they all had so much fun. As a matter of fact my four year old is looking over my shoulder at the pictures right now begging to go back.
The waterpark has several great rides. The half pipe (looks scary to me) but the older kids like it a lot. The eye of the storm the older boys rode quite a few times. I like that you can watch them pop out from below. (see video) My favorite place in the park is the Shipwreck Island play village. This area has tons of slides and play areas for both smaller and middle aged children and adults. With lots of seating all around for moms to sit back and watch the fun. If your lucky you'll snag a lounger with an umbrella (super nice). Cabana rentals are also available although this Mom prefers being right beside the action so I can keep an eye out. There are lifeguards everywhere which is a super nice extra addition to Mamas eyes. Life jackets are free and younger children are required to wear them to go down the slides. (no arm bands allowed) .
This Mom liked:
- tons of seating available and located around all the major fun spots
- bathrooms located in multiple locations near the water slides so your not running to the front of the park and they were clean
- lifeguards everywhere
- the smiles on all of the kiddos faces
- more than 1 thing to do
We planned our day around eating not wanting to purchase food at the park. As expected it was a little bit pricey . The kids didn't make it through the day without some extra fuel though. We had to visit the snack bar. The boys had a burger and fries and the little had Dippin Dots as well. Everyone said the food was better than they expected.
If the waterpark just is not your thing don't fret because Adventure Landing offers so much more.
