Nail Polish Love it or Leave it?

Living At The Whiteheads Zoo

Nail polish ...there is just something about adding a little bit of color.  Do you love it or leave it?

I use to buy nail polish all of the time when I sold Avon, but that has been quite some time ago .  The other day when In Walgreens I noticed the new spring colors and I just had to have a couple of bottles.    They are some out there colors too not my typical selections at all.
Photobucket

What do you think?

I am actually not a  nail polisher.  I chip my nails easily so I keep them plain .  As a Florida girl always in flops I like my toes painted pretty.   I have found some pretty cute designs on Pinterest that totally have me playing with paint.  Look what these creative ladies came up with can you say CUTENESS!

So, I've been told your nail polish will last longer if you keep in the fridge. I visited  Snopes.com and it says there is no clear agreement on that.  However, the key to keeping your nail polish is putting the lid on tightly.  Air is the enemy of nail polish.

Leave me a comment...do you love or leave the polish?  Refrigerate it or Not?  And how about them Pinterest Nails?  We can't wait to hear from you!

Now that you've watched a little bit here is some information.

Residing quietly beneath the floorboards are little people who live undetected in a secret world to be discovered, where the smallest may stand tallest of all.  From the legendary Studio Ghibli (“Spirited Away,” “Ponyo”) comes “The Secret World of Arrietty,” an animated adventure based on Mary Norton’s acclaimed children’s book series “The Borrowers.”

Arrietty (voice of Bridgit Mendler), a tiny, but tenacious 14-year-old, lives with her parents (voices of Will Arnett and Amy Poehler) in the recesses of a suburban garden home, unbeknown st to the homeowner and her housekeeper (voice of Carol Burnett). Like all little people, Arrietty (AIR-ee-ett-ee) remains hidden from view, except during occasional covert ventures beyond the floorboards to “borrow” scrap supplies like sugar cubes from her human hosts. But when 12-year-old Shawn (voice of David Henrie), a human boy who comes to stay in the home, discovers his mysterious housemate one evening, a secret friendship blossoms. If discovered, their relationship could drive Arrietty’s family from the home and straight into danger. The English language version of “The Secret World of Arrietty” was executive produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall, and directed by Gary Rydstrom. The film hits theaters Feb. 17, 2012.

Notes:
  • Hayao Miyazaki is one of the most influential and admired filmmakers working in animation today and is a major figure in the Japanese cinematic landscape. His films have inspired moviegoers and colleagues around the world, from Pixar's John Lasseter to fantasist Guillermo del Toro to Chinese director Tsui Hark, and consistently top the box office in his native Japan.
  • Director Hiromasa Yonebayashi, a top animator at Studio Ghibli, was responsible for the animation in a signature scene in “Ponyo,” in which Ponyo runs atop ocean waves.
  • English language voice talent director Gary Rydstrom is a seven-time Academy AwardÒ winning sound designer/mixer (“Terminator 2: Judgment Day”). He joined Pixar Animation Studios as an animation film director in 2003.  His directorial debut for the studio was the Academy Award®-nominated short film “Lifted,” and he directed the short film “Hawaiian Vacation,” which was released with “Cars 2” in June 2011.
  • Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall are highly successful producing partners whose films, separately and together, include “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “E.T.,” “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?,” the Indiana Jones films and the Jurassic Park films. In total, Kennedy and Marshall have earned 11 Oscar® nominations.
  • English language screenplay writer Karey Kilpatrick’s credits include “Spiderwick Chronicles” and “Over the Hedge,” which he also directed (with Tim Johnson).

Fitness Friday~ Cut the Excuses and Just Do It

Photobucket

What Excuses do you give to avoid exercise?

Here are my top 5 excuses...bale outs

*I'll get to it in a little bit
*I just don't have time today
*It's too hot/cold outside
*What will I do with my toddler?  No babysitter...
*I have a headache

Shame Shame Shame on me !  The truth is if you get up and get moving, make it a priority , and a part of ever day this is what will soon happen .

*You'll want to do it and won't wait for a little while.
*You'll make time in your day and evening
*The weather won't matter you'll enjoy that extra sweat / or chill in the air
*You will take your toddler with you or do a video at home
*Exercise will help with the headaches

Now folks who are we  kidding or making excuses to?  Either we want to be fit, we want to lose weight and live a healthy life or we do not.  No one is standing in our path except ourselves!  No one is going to do it for us.  If healthy is what we want it all begins with making healthy choices one day at a time.  It all begins about forgetting the excuses and Just Doing It.

What tips do you have for losing weight?  Do you count calories?  If so do you use an app or anything to help you?  Here are two I find useful in keeping track of what I put into my mouth.  SparkPeople I actually began using this several years ago.  I found that it really helped me when I was working on weight loss.  Then I got pregnant , and pretty much slacked off with keeping track for a time.

Recently I began using My Fitness Pal.  It has been helpful when I used it.  It reminds me a lot of Spark People they have similarities anyway.  I haven't taken the time to really use every feature yet , but I have used it for a food journal / tracking.  I thought it was helpful.

My favorite new exercise this week is hoop abs.  Thanks to Power Cakes for sharing a how to video which was easy and helpful ! I have added these in this week.  My  Abs are feeling it too...Yeah!

What exercises have you tried this week? Anything new?  Tips for  a healthier lifestyle? Healthy snacks?   Share your thoughts we like them!!
