AWESOME #Paranormal #Vampire Read! Beck Sherman's REVAMP Review

What I Thought:
Revamp took me a bit.  It begins with a black out.  Only for those still alive to discover there world has been taken over by vampires.  Emma a college student, getting ready to graduate and begin her life steps off a plane into immediate weirdness.  People or things in white suits walking the airport , empty bags everywhere.  This scene definitely takes you from idly reading to what just happened?  She's thinking terrorist attack little does she know what horrors are in store.

Emma as well as the other characters are well developed. Emma has a sharp tongue, shes witty and she is a psychology major of all things.  Totally fitting for someone whose whole life is fixing to be turned NUTS right?

Beck Sherman does an AWESOME job providing details.  This story is quite long.  The group Emma joins has you thinking cult or hero?  They are a tight knit little group of hunters trying to defeat the vampires who have taken over. They are all different ages, different races, male and female yet they all have something very common. Vampires have destroyed what was once their normal lives.

The plot is CRAZY yet so different from anything else out there.  Not your typical vampire story.  The end is filled with twist and turns several I didn't see coming. A real page turner.  I very much enjoyed REVAMP.  I’d totally read another book by Sherman.

About Revamp :

FOR THREE DAYS, IT WAS DARK.
News reporters scrambled. This was the biggest story to come along in weeks.
They called it a blackout.
The last one was in New York City in 2003, but this one was different, special, because the grids in six major cities across the country had been fried, kaput, see-you-next-Sunday. Everyone with some jurisdiction blamed each other, and when there was no one left to blame, terrorism rode in on its gallant steed.
It was the media’s fault. They were so busy stuffing fanatical Muslims with a penchant for Allah and decapitations down the American citizen’s throat, that they never saw it coming. I guess I shouldn’t be too hard on them.
They were partially right.
It was terror after all, but a whole new kind. And when the lights came back on, things had changed.
The dark had brought us visitors.
