The water is such a pretty blue color! It was pretty packed when we were here. I'm not sure if it is like this all of the time or just this particular day.

What we thought: Weeki Wachee is a lovely park. C (age 3) was a little bit to short for the flume slides and he wanted to do them so bad. The Lil Mates Cover kiddie pool was a nice area with a small slide that he could play in with out armies. There were plenty of chairs and tables with umbrellas scattered around the area. The family felt like the lazy river run was way too short and not worth renting the floats over. You can not take the floats on the flume rides. I personally felt like things could be labeled better. The park is fairly large , we walked all the way in the wrong direction at the beginning of our trip , only to discover we had to go the other way. In the heat with all of our stuff and cranky kids from a long ride (this was not good). However , once we got settled we all had a really nice time .
For almost 60 years Weeki Wachee has lured in tourist and travelers with their beautiful mermaids who swim in the cool spring waters.
