The second book is a lot different than the first. It shows a strong Cassia who is determined to find Ky at any cost. The story is told between two viewpoints switching back and forth from Ky and Cassia. Both struggling to hold on and find their way back to each other. As Cassia searches for Ky she finally truly realizes something must be done about the society she is living in. She starts uncovering pieces of information about a group called The Rising. This group is trying to destroy the Society. Cassia wants to find the Rising and become a part of the rebellion. Only one problem Ky does not share her love for the rebellion. What will happen to them?
Although , Xander is not as big a part to this book as in the first he is still very present. I think he will be a much larger part of the third but could be wrong.
I'm slightly disappointed that I have to wait a bit for the 3rd book but eagerly wait the conclusion to the series. Book 2 definitely leaves you hanging.
