Egg Carton Challenge

Tinkerlab

EGG Carton Challenge

TinkerLab holds a challenge every month or two with an invitation for children to create from a ready made material.  This Challenge is for egg cartons.

We used egg cartons to create a couple of projects.

Fist we have been working in  our Garden this week
We used an egg carton to make a seed tray.

The original idea to make an egg carton into a seedling tray came from
http://www.freekidscrafts.com/seedling_pot-e678.html.

Tip: I also discovered an ice tray works quite well.

I can't wait for our seeds to sprout!

We also made this little garden decoration in  celebration of
Earth Day.  We used the top of the Egg carton for this craft.  Very easily made by a 3 year old.

Cut circles out of the top of the egg carton (I did the cutting)
Add paint on a plate drop in your circle and  push around
Let  blue paint dry
Dab on green paint with cute little fingers
