Toddler Tantrums ~

Oh boy aren't those great fun.  My best tip would be NOT to give in.  Which is easier said than done.  My child's tantrums are usually over the most ridiculous things but they are important to him.

They are not usually because he wants something in a store (thank goodness) although I am sure that will come.  They usually are more about he doesn't want you to touch his toy, or you sit down to play and you didn't do it how he thought you should.  Luckily, they are also very short lived.

Sometimes , my husband will tell him if he is throwing a fit to go to his room and he'll get right up and go in there.  Then when we hear him quit crying one of us will tell him he can come out whenever he is ready as long as he is NOT throwing a fit.  It usually works.

We did have one huge melt down in Publix this past summer.  It was awful and you better believe I couldn't not get out of Publix fast enough.  All because he wanted a $49 display cake of Batman.  That is exactly what we did too grabbed the few things we had to have and beelined for the checkout.  Wouldn't you know he was all smiles by the time we were in the parking lot to.

Can't wait to hear your tips!
